Each person who registers for the Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ Photo Competition and uploads at least one photo will automatically be entered into a prize drawing for a Five-night stay at any Small Luxury Hotels of the World property.*
Winning Photographs
Four winning photographs will be selected by a panel of judges including famed celebrity photographer Andy Earl. Mr. Earl has photographed the likes of Madonna, Prince and Pink Floyd for their album covers and it was his imaginative eye that led SLH to ask him to adopt a fresh, creative look at hotel marketing through photography.
Four winners will be selected in order of First Place through Fourth Place. The first place winner will have his/her choice of any of the following prize packages, followed by the second place, third place and fourth place winners.
Package #1: Costa Rican Adventure
Enjoy six nights in the tropical paradise of Costa Rica experiencing everything from lush rainforest to beautiful beaches. You will spend three nights at Hotel Punta Islita in a suite with private jacuzzi and receive breakfast daily, one 60 min spa treatment for two and one candlelight dinner for two. You will then travel to Manuel Antonio to spend three nights at Gaia Hotel & Reserve in a luxurious Ocean View Suite with breakfast daily, a guided hiking tour of Gaia’s Private Nature Reserve, one spa treatment per person for two, a mangrove boat tour for two and one chef’s Tasting Dinner for two in “La Luna”Restaurant. Package also includes two roundtrip tickets provided by American Airlines and inter-Costa Rica transfers.
Package 2: England’s Town & Country
The perfect balance of city life and countryside escape, this package includes a three-night stay at London’s famed The Capital Hotel in an Executive room with breakfast daily and one pre-theatre dinner for two at Le Metro Bar & Brasserie. To get around town you will receive two unlimited London Underground passes, as well as two London City Passes to gain access to world famous attractions like The Tower of London and Windsor Castle. After visiting the Queen, you will venture to the Country to enjoy a two-nights stay at Luton Hoo in a Mansion Deluxe room with breakfast daily, a three-course dinner at Luton Hoo’s restaurant including a bottle of wine and a round of golf for two at the Golf Club. Two Round-trip tickets to and from London’s Heathrow will be provided by American Airlines. Car transfers between hotels will be provided.
Package 3: Mexican Escape
Travel south of the border to relax with four nights in a Double room at Esencia on Mexico’s Riviera Maya where you will enjoy, in addition to beautiful white sandy beaches, breakfast daily, a spa treatment for two and one dinner for two. Two Roundtrip tickets to Cancun will be provided by American Airlines. Ground transfers to and from the hotel will also be provided.
Package 4: The Big Apple Experience (New York)
For this prize package you will need to rest up in advance because you will spend three nights in the City that never sleeps. Enjoy three weekend nights in a Deluxe room at The Iroquois New York where you will receive full breakfast for two each day in Le Petit Triomphe and one dinner for two in the acclaimed Triomphe Restaurant. Two unlimited Metrocards will wiz you around Manhattan in order to enjoy the benefits of two New York City Passes to see icons such as the Empire State Building and the Museum of Modern Art. Two Roundtrip tickets to either LaGuardia or Kennedy Airport will be provided by American Airlines.
All Finalists: Nikon D80 D-SLR
Each of the 4 top prize packages will come with a brand new Nikon D80 Digital SLR Camera. Featuring a 10.2 Megapixel Nikon DX format CCD imaging sensor. Also included will be an 18-135mm zoom lens.
